My career started in the financial sector. From 2020 to 2023, I worked across banking and financial services, advising businesses on commercial lending, assessing risk, and progressing high-value transactions.

Those years gave me a deep understanding of how institutions think about money, risk, and trust. More importantly, I kept noticing something: the processes were slow, manual, and ripe for something better.

In 2023, I moved into the Victorian Government. Over three departments, I went deep into regulation, compliance, and governance. Financial viability assessments for $100M+ in assets. Automated compliance tracking across six business units. Complex regulatory workflows rebuilt from scratch.

While working in government, I started building AI tools on the side. The more I built, the more I realised something: most AI consultants understand the technology but not the constraints. I understood the constraints first.

Six years of regulation and compliance, combined with hands-on technical skills. I could bridge the gap between what AI can do and what organisations are actually allowed to do.

I founded Ongkrong AI Consulting while continuing my government work. The consulting practice focuses on helping businesses in regulated industries adopt AI responsibly. Strategy, architecture, compliance frameworks. Everything needed to go from "we should use AI" to a system that is live, compliant, and useful.
